It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of 11global Singapore that was meant to be held on October 19.

We have worked very hard to get all the necessary governing approvals in place and have been met with many road blocks along the way but have always strived on to ensure we are able to deliver a well-organised event. It is because of our commitment to provide the best possible race experience that we have decided to cancel the race.

We were looking forward to kicking off the 11global Racing League in Singapore but given the latest difficulties with road closure authorities, we will be kicking off the league in South Africa. As the response from the participants in Singapore has been overwhelmingly favourable this only increases our resolve to host 11global Singapore sometime in the future.
We thank all the registered athletes for their support and entry fees will be refunded in the following week.

Following our meeting with the Triathlon Association of Singapore and the Singapore Sports Council, a day triathlon will now take place on October 19, 2008 at 7am.

As we all share in the disappointment of losing our night triathlon we would like to thank our registered triathletes for their understanding, support and encouragement, which has kept us, motivated and determined to deliver a unique triathlon through the city of Singapore.

The swim will take place at East Coast Park with T1 at Big Splash Square. The bike will consist of two and a half loops of a 15km circuit on East Coast Parkway with T2 at Padang. The run will consist of a 2 loop course leaving Padang via Marina Esplanade and continue to Raffles Avenue and Republic Blvd with a U-Turn at the 2.5km mark.

The adjusted entry fee is US $115 (Age-group/Pro), US $235 (Relay Teams), and US $265 (Corporate Relay Teams).
Online registration is open until September 21, 2008. Click here to register now.

The 11global Singapore website has been updated so please review the new race information page.
Maps are currently in development and will be uploaded once completed.

11global and Fronterra are committed to delivering a fantastic triathlon to Singapore and hope to see you on October 19.

11global recently received an email from Ashiq Idris the Assistant General Manager of the Triathlon Association of Singapore (TAS) stating they have received confirmation, that the International Triathlon Union (ITU) has no sanctioning criteria or rules for night triathlons and as such can no longer sanction 11global Singapore.

As we have been working with TAS since October 2007 and have committed significant resources and planning to make this triathlon a success, we are extremely disappointed to learn this. Regardless of this set back, 11global remains committed to producing a unique and awesome triathlon in Singapore and will be meeting with TAS next week to propose an alternative for the morning of October 19, 2008.

More information will be posted following the meeting.
